Network Activities

digital-earth.eu is an infrastructure that is used to identify, accredit and promote Centres of Excellence for the use of geo-media in schools. digital-earth.eu offers increased visibility to organisations that are outstanding, the network encourages innovation in learning and teaching approaches.

To achieve this, digital-earth.eu is in the process to: 

• form a Comenius network with four special interest groups (SIGs)
• construct a community for participants to share
• create a network of Centres of Excellence
• produce a series of publications
• establish a geo-services portal
• disseminate widely
• connect national and international initiatives and
• lobby for the inclusion of geo-media and spatial competences in national curricula

The digital-earth.eu network organises and participates in meetings, workshops, conferences and seminars.
